Republicans are seeking information that China might be behind funding for the Biden Center at the University of Pennsylvania. The Epoch Times reports, “Republican lawmakers from three House investigative committees have asked the University of Pennsylvania to disclose funding sources for its academic institute focused on diplomacy and foreign policy that is named after President Joe Biden, amid concerns of foreign influence.”
On January 28th, three Republican Representatives – Reps. James Comer, Jim Jordan, and Virginia Foxx – wrote a letter to Dr. Amy Gutman regarding the lack of response from the University after the House found “unreported and anonymous foreign donations to the University of Pennsylvania from foreign adversaries such as Russia, China, Qatar, and Iran.”
The letter intends to garner “an immediate response” from the University “in light of [the] university’s close relationship with the Biden family and recent revelations regarding their potentially illicit ties to foreign adversaries including China.”
The Representatives write that “reporting indicates the criminal investigation’s primary focus is whether Hunter Biden violated tax and money laundering laws in his foreign business dealings, particularly in China.” The letter says the representatives seek to understand “whether the University of Pennsylvania’s Biden Center for Diplomacy and Global Engagement (Biden Center) received funds from China or other adversarial nations at the behest of the Biden family or future Biden Administration officials will shed light on the depth and breadth of the potential improper influence these nations enjoy over the Biden family.”
The letter reports that the University of Pennsylvania saw an increase in donations from China after the announcement of the university’s Biden Center. It says that “in the 37 months prior” the university’s announcement of the Biden Center, China gave UPenn “$27,187,333,” but that after the Biden Center announcement, the donations coming from China increased to “$72,274,675.”
The Republican lawmakers claim that China’s involvement in “American college campuses” is an attempt to turn them into “indoctrination platforms for American students.”
This will likely go nowhere as newly sworn-in Secretary of State Antony Blinken was the Biden Center’s managing director before eventually becoming apart of the Biden campaign. Scummy people tend to protect other scummy people, and universities tend to protect scummy money.

A University of Pennsylvania spokesperson, Ron Ozlo, “said in an email to the Epoch Times that the Biden Center has ‘never solicited or received any gifts from any Chinese or other foreign entity.”
Ozlo claimed that “the University has never solicited any gifts for the Center. Since its inception in 2017, there have been three unsolicited gifts (from two donors) which combined, total $1,100. Both donors are Americans.”
I don’t know if I would brag that a center named after the current President of the United States has only received three unsolicited gifts, to which the combined total is only $1,100. It would be less embarrassing to say they took Chinese funds; after all, we all suspect they’re lying about the money aways.
Thank you for the article! I am not holding my breath for the success of the Republicans to get any info out of this administration, the biggest friends of the Chinese and this killer president Xii
