I think war is a terrible thing. I, for instance, born in 1940 in Germany, have never known my father, just from pictures, he in uniform and I on his shoulders, that was in 1942, the last time we saw him. He was 29 years old. My mother lived a live without her husband of only 4 years and one child, I. If the Allied forces had not destroyed Hitler – our village had daily and multi-daily air raids and was ultimately evacuated into the Eastern mountains – America and other parts of the world would be speaking German.
For the last 2 decades, American presidents have talked and talked and tried diplomatic negotiations and sanctions, but both father and son Kim Jong Ill and Kim Jong Un were unfeathered and not stopped. Sending intercontintal missiles into the Sea of Japan for instance are practically war declarations, at this point and MUST require more than rhetoric of the past and some ACTIONS short of a full blown war with North Korea. Whether or not Donald Trump’s name calling of Kim is damaging, I don’t believe that it would make any difference, because we are dealing with a ‘leader” in North Korea, who executes anybody who disagrees with him, even his own family, and who starves his own people for the sake of developing nuclear weapons for billions. So, President Trump’s “rhetoric” as everybody calls it, does not bother me at all. I am concerned about a nut case in that region and I wished that America could single out the man and eradicate this evil without killing the innocent.
